A Reputation of Excellence

Jean-Claude is a leading industry speaker and lecturer on dog training and behaviour Australia-wide. He trains the trainers in the industry.

In 2011, the National Dog Trainers Federation awarded K-9iQ with a lifetime membership in recognition of continued constructive service to the dog training industry and commitment to excellence spanning 20 plus years.

“Claude came out to my house a couple of weeks ago to help me with my new little puppy Otto. Before Claude even arrived, he made me feel settled on the phone. Due to military service I have PTSD so Otto is my companion. I break many rules, such as no couches or beds so was worried I would be told (again as others I had called stated) that I need to change my lifestyle rather than work with Otto within my way of life. Immediately claude put me at ease, explaining that I can still have an obedient dog and find a happy medium. I would highly recommend Claude to everyone as he has a way of understanding dogs and explaining why they do certain things.”

Our Industry Clients

K-9iQ has been working with the wider industry since 2000.

During this time, Jean Claude Bertoni has delivered extensive seminars to the general public and institutions as well as formally lecturing on Australia’s only Government Accredited Dog Trainers Course run by the National Dog Trainers Federation.

Many organisations that have benefited from Jean Claude’s experience over the years including;

  • National Dog Trainers Federation
  • Geelong Animal Welfare Society
  • Lort Smith Animal Hospital
  • Seeing Eyes Dogs Australia
  • Geelong Obedience Dog Club
  • German Shepherd Association of Victoria
  • Rottweiler Club of Victoria

“Claude’s workshop on dog aggression was above and beyond what I was expecting.  His wealth of knowledge and experience in understanding dog behaviour was obvious, as was his passion working with both dogs and people.  Claude is an inspiring and engaging teacher, he challenged my thinking and I went home with a different perspective on many aspects of dog training.  Speaking with classmates afterwards I found that I wasn’t the only one going home with brain strain from learning so much that day.”
